The
seat was taken by the Welsh regional party (nominally seeking independence from
the UK) … with 15,961 votes (47%). This is a first-past-the-post or plurality
victory. Nigel Farage’s Reform UK came in second … with 12,113 votes (36%). And
Labour came in third … with 3,713 votes (11%). Conservatives crash to less than
1,000 votes (2%). Both Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats lost their
deposit.
