Baker's Dozin'

Perhaps we can enhance Mr. Baker's Manhattan hotel experience by providing some local color.

I actually stayed at the Pennsylvania Hotel after using one of those Priceline/Expedia/Hotwire type services where you don't know what you've bought until you've bought it. Last time I ever do that (probably not, I'm just too Dutch). Great location, but our section of the hotel was an absolute dump.

No bed bugs though - at least I can be thankful for that.

I had a great experience with Hotwire in Pittsburgh. We paid absolute bupkus for a hotel and were stunned when we saw the room. Splendor, I tell you. The Pittsburgh Steelers were having some kind of meeting there one of the nights we stayed. Heinz Field was a short walk away.

Yes, well, that's Pittsburgh, Hunter. People actually want to go to NYC.

Hey, Pittsburgh is cool. I was really taken with the place. Nice downtown area, great geography, love of sports, and higher education. What more could you want?
