The Sis (...then the dissertation...)

Mrs. Baker has brought a little illumination into our world in the form of a beautiful little girl, and she has done it with her customary grace.

Welcome, Grace Frances Baker. Congratulations to the happy parents. In the midst of such blessing - and tumult - are doctorates born.

Actually, that's Grace Frances Baker, but she is a source of great joy.

Just so readers won't think me mad, Jay had originally tagged the little miss as Grace Felicity. I have a funny story about the name Felicity. I once met a very attractive young woman who told me that was her name. It means happiness, she said. My name is Hunter, I replied. It means kill animals.

We were so glad to hear the news, Hunter! "Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth." Ps. 127:4. Congratulations!

And I have a similar story with a blonde centerfold I met named Diana, to whom I responded, "Ah, Diana. That accounts for the Hun tresses."

At which point the story begins and my recitation ends.
