The great Hunter Baker, long before I joined the Reform Club ranks, celebrated my work at the Spectator with a blog on Oct. 20 entitled Jay Homnick Is A Rock Star.

Although my official title is columnist for JewishWorldReview.com, these days I publish at least as much at the Spectator.

Someday I'll write here at length about my history as a Spectator reader and subscriber ranging back to 1979. For now, suffice it to say that I am a loyalist of long standing. The Clinton era damaged the magazine to some extent, as Hunter indicates, and it spent a year being published by George Gilder which did not help any. (I love Gilder too, but it was not a good fit.) Now, being published by Regnery, and being brilliantly edited by Wlady Pleszczynski, it is as good as it ever was, if not better.

I strongly urge spending the money for a subscription to the print magazine and frequenting the beautifully revamped online edition.Jay D.
