Monarchy isn't quite dead

Well, it may very well be dead, but it's not useless. Not so long as kings can cut through all the diplomatic haze and tell two-bit thugs to "shut up". Fantastic.

ofqwtblI couldn't agree more with you thatthe Monarchy isn't dead. King Juan Carlos has been an extraordinary Monarch. We need more of his stature.

I assume you noticed that a ringtone featuring the King's riposte has become a best-seller in Spain? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7101386.stm

Maybe there's some vague hope for the Spanish yet . . . though I still think they were impossibly dumb for voting Anzar out of office.
